The first epiphany was that it's July (see below). The second was delivered from one of the international students, Emma, "the draft exam timetable is out." This is when we can see what the administration is proposing for the week and a half of torture that they call exams. And my feelings towards this ritual refuse to soften with each semester. *sigh*
For us, the schedule is actually fairly reasonable. We will start on Tuesday 10 Aug (rather than Monday) and end on Tuesday 17 Aug (rather than Wednesday).
The challenge is that we're currently scheduled to have two exams on the 17th: Greek at 9, and OT Prophets at 2. We're really not in a position to ask for a change, because eight of the MDivs crashed the BD Greek class, so it's not our class. I guess if we have to have two exams in one day, these are the two to have. And it's the last day, so I can sleep on Wednesday.
But that assumes that the schedule maintains, and that's anyone's guess. When the final is published in a couple weeks, I'll let you know.
