One of our assignments for Christian Worship is to draft the order of worship for a rite. Which one?
The one for our funeral.
Rev. Michael's exact words were to "draw a suggested order of a funeral service you would consider your vicar [rector] to use as he/she and team celebrates your life after your departure in context of the Holy Communion service." So, we get to pick the readings, hymns, preacher, church, etc., and I think our work product is essentially the order of service booklet.
(slight whine) Couldn't we draft a different order of service? None of us is terribly enthusiastic about this assignment.
