New maps for everyone!

As I'm sure you've heard by now, the Sudanese referendum whether the South will secede from the rest of Sudan passed, with what, 99.57% of the vote to secede?  Of course, the vote needs to be validated, what what (the African version of "blah blah blah"), but we're pretty darn excited.

Sunday evening we had an international students' association tea, and I don't have the words to describe how proudly the students from that area announced themselves as being from "Southern Sudan."  I was so happy for them (and proud myself) that I thought I might bust.


I'll never be so happy to need another map in my life.  Please pray for the process as demarcation and other socio-political things are ironed out, and especially, for peace.
